There are some many things that go through my head. Ideas, dreams, crazy things. But I want my life to be filled with things that honor God; That He has called me to do. That begins with trust. Not just saying I trust you, but living it out every day with every step I take and every word I say. That is not easy, but then God never said it would be easy. It is something we need to actively choose though. It does not just happen. We have to want to trust and follow God and believe that the promises he tells us in scripture are true and He will hold to them. I have, thankfully, had experiences where I have tangibly seen God keep the promises laid out in His word. But in order to see that, I had to step out and do something. I had to trust Him. As James 4 says, I needed to draw closer to Him and He absolutely then drew even closer to me.
You need to take that first step. Start small, God is totally okay with that. That’s how it began for me 6 years ago. Now, I have just taken one of the biggest faith steps I have ever considered. And you know what… God is faithful to provide what I need in His time.
